The world needs our voices, friends.
Let’s keep documenting the world we have,
and imagining and writing the world we need.
April is National Poetry Month in the United States and even though — or perhaps because — things at the national level, and their reverberations and actions across the country, are terrifying and infuriating, we are inspired to continue creating beautiful art for ourselves and others.
Some of us here at Prose City are participating in National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) this time by writing a poem each day (‼) during the month of April, as we read a couple tomes about poetic form, with examples of each (see below).
If you are doing NaPoWriMo, as well, or would like to, you can add your website where you’re publishing your poetry to their site and find those of others participating.
We hope you’re each taking good care — and we hope to see you soon!
